Asking questions is considared a major part of conducting effective UX research.

The questions you ask will determine the quality of the data you gather, and the insights you gain from the research. Here, I will try to explain some better practices for asking questions to get better understanding of your work.

Open-Ended Questions

Open-ended questions allow participants to answer freely, without any constraints. These types of questions encourage participants to share their thoughts and feelings, which provide more detailed responses. It also help us to avoid leading participants towards a particular response.

For example, instead of asking “Do you think the website is easy to navigate?” you could ask “How would you describe your experience navigating the website?”
